What the GI-MAP Can Tell You
The GI-MAP uses quantitative PCR (qPCR) technology to uncover underlying causes of IBS, autoimmune conditions, skin issues, and more. It delivers detailed results on H. pylori and its associated virulence factors, helping optimize health for patients of all ages.
Why Quantification Matters
Unlike many stool tests on the market, the GI-MAP delivers truly quantitative results. qPCR is far more accurate than standard PCR, culture, microscopy, or DNA sequencing methods for detecting and measuring clinically relevant organisms. Knowing exactly how much of an organism's DNA is present helps determine whether a pathogen or dysbiosis pattern is actually clinically significant.
Reliability and Reproducibility
This lab is the only one in the U.S. using qPCR exclusively for advanced comprehensive stool testing. qPCR is standard in clinical and academic research because of its accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity, well beyond what standard PCR offers. Rigorous quality control and validation (meeting or exceeding FDA standards) ensure results are consistently reproducible.

Methodology: Quantitative PCR (qPCR), also called Real-Time PCR (RT-PCR), delivers true quantitative values, helping distinguish trace organism levels from active infection.
Specimen Requirements: A single stool sample, collected at ambient room temperature in the provided specimen vial.
